About
ReadySetMoney is a student-led program that teaches kids the basics of money and smart decision-making. We run fun workshops on saving, budgeting, and banking, and introduce simple economic ideas in a way children can actually understand. We also mentor students to help them build confidence, responsibility, and good habits for the future. Our goal is to make learning about money simple, engaging, and useful so every student feels prepared to make smart financial choices as they grow.

Understand what banks do, how to keep money safe, and why saving early is important.

Learn how to share ideas, create fun content, and understand how businesses reach people.

Work in teams, solve problems, and learn how small ideas can turn into projects or businesses.
Meet the Team
Vanessa Xu is a student leader with a strong passion for business, finance, and community impact. She is actively involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) as the California Vice President and the Southern Section President. She founded ReadySetMoney to help students build financial confidence and practical skills for their future.
Andrew Pastor is an IB Diploma student with a passion for economics. He has numerous investments with Merrill Lynch and had taken extensive accounting classes in his years with proficiency in excel. Andrew is an enthusiastic educator and is thrilled to be apart of ReadySetMoney.
Apolline is a high school student that diligently focuses on her studies while maintaining her involvement both inside and outside of school. She enjoys volunteering in her free time, learning new concepts, and guiding others to success.
Sophia Lee is a high school student with an interest in business and finance. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and holds numerous leadership roles in different clubs as well. She is excited to have the opportunity to help others learn financial literacy through ReadySetMoney.
